A Somali journalist took to the social media on Monday to announce the wedding ceremony of a 60 year old man and a 14 year old girl in Somalia.
The girl looks as if she has been sentenced to life behind bars.
The look on her face is indicative of the state of her mind.
This poor teenage girl is supposed to still be under the care of her parents
Which kind tradition is this.

Somalia is one of African nations where gross religion madness, ignorance, and Islamic supremacy and extremists reign. This is a nation where no religion freedom or right is tolerated bUT islam. It a great sin for anyo e to practice any other religious in this lawless nation. The only authorized religion in this poverty rage country is extreme Islam not the Islam in other civilized nations like Dubai, Kuwait, Egypt and so on.It is total nonsense and gross insanity to force a 14 years old little girl to marry a 60 years old man against her will. Somalia is a nation that is still living in the dark ages in the 21st century. May God have mercy!

This is absolutely not common in Somalia. There are cases of underaged marriages just like the rest of the world and it’s due to ignorance. This is an extreme case and shame on anyone involved. In addition, this has nothing to do with religion. If Islam is what promotes this, why does South Sudan(predominate Christian country) along with bengladesh, India and Greece all practice child marriages? Hmmm curious. And before you bring up the Prophet and Aisha, their relationship was platonic. He took her under his wing for protection. You guys are quick to shame Muslim leaders not turn a blind eye to the real pedophiles of TODAY that are priests and the pope himsel. Hypocrisy isn’t a good look.
