Wed August 3rd, 2011 – A middle aged man, weekend, beheaded a 45-year-old woman in Bomadi, headquarters of Bomadi Local Government Area, Delta State.

The woman, identified as Mrs Trust-Ere College, was allegedly killed in her farm at about 9am, Saturday.
According to a source, the suspect was apprehended by the Police and Joint Military Task Force, JTF, in the area, following a tip-off.

The source, who pleaded anonymity, said the suspect was trying to flee the town when he was arrested.
He explained that the husband of the deceased raised alarm when he discovered the headless body of his wife. This, the source said, attracted the attention of sympathisers.

Confirming the incident, a senior Police officer attached to the Bomadi Police Division, said the suspect had been arrested and transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department, CID, Asaba, for further investigation by Vanguard
