About President Buhari First Wife, Safinatu Yusuf: Do You Know 1st Lady Aisha Is Not Buhari’s 1st Wife?

In 1971, President Buhari married a beautiful woman named Safinatu Yusuf.
Safinatu who is the mother of Buhari’s four daughters married the retired military man at the age of age 18 shortly after she graduated from college.
The couple separated in 1988,
A year later, Buhari married Adamawa-born Aisha Buhari, who is now the First Lady.
10 years after her marriage crashed, Safinatu Yusuf was diagnosed with diabetes in Saudi Arabia.
Safinatu Yusuf died of Diabetes complications on Saturday, the 14th of January 2006 at Chasel Hospital in Unguwar Sarki area of Kaduna.
She was buried at Unguwar Rimi Cemetery in Kaduna the same day.

Meaning that Aisha was also 18yrs old when he married her or since not stated here,she must be underage at the time they got married….

I remember Safinatu Buhari very well and was surprised to see Aisha being introduced as First Lady. I was then told she had died even though President Buhari had divorced her a while ago. A very pleasant, pretty and short, plump woman. I pray her daughters turned out well. May Allah grant her soul a place in paradise, ameen.

Buhari married Aisha after she finished secondary school. She completed all her studies under his roof up to masters level both within and outside the country. Aisha has never claimed to be his first wife but as of now, she is his only wife and a very diplomatic and honest one who has refused to be swallowed bythe corruption and lies in her husband’s government
