Hollywood Actress Kerry Washington Tweets In Igbo Language
January 3rd, 2014 – Hollywood Actress Kerry Washington Tweets In Igbo Language
Proud Igbo wife, Hollywood actress Kerry Washington shocked her fans yesterday when she sent across a tweet written in Igbo language.
Check out what she wrote.
“Afo gbara aka laa o!”
I don’t understand Igbo but her fans really appreciate it.
For those who do not know her, she is the wife of Nigerian-American footballer Nnamdi Asomugha.
Can someone please interpret the tweet?

afo means year, gbaraka means empty hand, then laa means go back/go home.so when igbo people say this at the end of every year, what they make is a kind of prayer utterance, meaning that the outgoing year should not take any thing good away from them, especially lives.
