Witches Conference: PFN Slams University Of Nigeria Nsukka For Sponsoring Evil
By Raphael Ede, Enugu
PFN, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria today declared that Enugu State is in serious danger if the proposed conference on witches scheduled to hold this week at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, is allowed.
The Christian body said it would stop at nothing to frustrate the event, describing it as “a subtle way of handing Enugu State over to the kingdom of darkness.”
The chairman of PFN in the state, Bishop Godwin Madu, who declared the opposition of the Christian body in a statement made available to The PUNCH, stated, “We cannot fold our hands and watch our future dragged into what will not give God glory.
“To this end, the Church in Enugu has declared two-day prayer of warfare. We must not allow this at a time like this, as we have had enough of ungodly activities in the country already.
“The Church should pray against those sponsoring evil in the state.
“Enugu State is in the hands of God and for that reason, we will not hand it over to witches. So, all Christians should, without delay, call on the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the awesome God of David to fight for His name.”
Madu urged the Vice Chancellor of the UNN, Prof. Charles Igwe, to immediately call off the conference.
“It will be in the interest of the vice-chancellor & Co. to cancel the event, as holding it would amount to declaring war against God and they know what the implications will be,” he warned.

The world has turned upside down. When witches do meeting in real life, that is an indication that the power of darkness is taking over the world

You are right, the world has turned upside down, but darkness cannot comprehend the light. It is so sad that our way of freedom of everything has and is turning into something else

IN THE COUNTRIES OF THE WEST, WITCHCRAFT IS an accepted commonplace, and magic is rather looked upon as talents. Those things are included in their school curriculum, with doctors and professors of notable pedigree handling them.
THE WESTERN WORLD IS more secular than religious; they seem to accept all things which genuine and true religion(especially Christianity) holds in abhorrence. They handle such things from a more or less scholarly slant. And that is why our very own men of meticulous letters now think it’s time to introduce this into our system. They call it open-mindedness; they say no knowledge is wasteful. But I say so them that they are about to do something which they have not fully considered its ramification. Knowledge is not knowledge which deforms the mind. We do not need whatsoever they have to lecture in that pit-of-hell conference. Let not every man/woman who could do anything to stop this hesitate in doing so.
