Yvonne Jegede like any typical Nigerian celebrity has had her fair share of praises, criticisms, accusations and speculations. For instance it was rumoured that she had undergone plastic surgery for breast enhancement which she denounced. The actress said she had always been busty right from her teen years. It was also reported that she had a miscarriage, a report that really upset her. She said no such thing happened and the reporter should have at least spoken to her before reporting such untrue stories. She was upset that people would wish her bad luck just because they needed stories and rejected such wishes which she said would not happen to her.
According to reports, her husband was also offended by the statement and lashed out on those responsible for those writing them. However, this is one of the things one has to live with as a celebrity. Because the marriages of many Nollywood actors and actresses have crashed, Yvonne was asked if her career would affect her marriage and she said it wouldn’t because she knows where to draw the line and the fact that her husband is also an actor will make it easier for him to understand her position.
Yvonne has told stories of herself how that just two years before she got introduced to Nollywood, she was roaming the streets of Lagos, recounting one night that she had to spend under a bridge which she remembered was around 2am. However, she thanked God for bringing her to where she is today, acknowledging God as the source of her help. Yvonne apparently loves her family. Her mother past in the year 2016 shortly after her wedding and it was obviously very disheartening to her.
She lamented and wished that she was alive for a little longer. Yvonne doesn’t love her father any less as she has pictures of herself and her dad all over the internet. She even wrote a letter to him titled “Letter to my Boyfriend” which is all over the internet as well. Many people thought she was cheating on her husband already by writing a love letter to someone else but that only showed her strong ties with her father who she described as her boyfriend, her sugar daddy, and every word you can find which describes love.
